FiddleStick Crafts
From the heart of rural England
Our Story
My husband and I have recently converted an old brick barn in the staffordshire countryside and turned it into our family home. We have a beautiful little boy, 1 cat, 2 dogs, 3 pony’s and a flock of chickens and so on…
When we started converting we knew we wanted to incorporate the original oak beams within the interior of our barn to keep it as traditional as we could. This then became one of the main features within our home. Our love for oak continued to grow from this. We soon started to buy many oak products to decorate our barn, this is how we came across Fiddlestick Crafts.
That's when the previous owners of Fiddlestick Crafts came to us to see if we wanted to purchase and take over the business, which we did. This now allows me (Charlotte) to work from our workshop at home meaning I get to spend more time with our son in our beautiful home, doing something I love.
We source our wood from a nearby woodyard. We use naturally seasoned oak either air dried or kiln dried. For indoor products we use kiln dried to stop shrinkage and cupping in the warm.
